About Us

I began to experience the hard work and reward of raising cattle when I was 10 years old. My passion for farming developed into my own farm operation in 1981. I currently raise registered angus cattle for meat and seed stock. I also raise pastured raised hogs and piglets for meat and sale. We are beginning to keep bees and look forward to selling their honey in the summer of 2017.

This little calf pictured was born early on a cold, winter morning; a little early for calfing season but some things cannot be controlled. I noticed this black ball at the bottom of the hillside early in the morning as her mamma was standing on top of the hill, inside the fence, balling for her new born calf.  Apparently the new born calf rolled under the fence and without her mother’s warm milk, she was beginning to freeze. I brought her inside and slowly warmed her up while providing her the nutrients new born calfs require. Despite frostbite on her ears, I’m happy to report this calf survived and was returned to her mother for natural raising.
